Subject: I made a commercial! Please read...UPDATE

Tide To Go Pen had a competition to create a "talking stain" commercial after their original commercial came out during the superbowl. The winner's commercial gets to be broadcasted nationwide during a primetime tv show! If you can get a chance, please check out my commercial via one of the links below & please comment or rate my commercial. I believe the more hits & the higher stars I get, the more of a chance I'll be one of the finalists, so please check this out prior to 3/11/08. Finalists will be placed on the www.mytalkingstain.com website on 3/11/08.

Once the ten finalists are up on the website, they are judging their winner by voters opinion (thumbs up or thumbs down). So, starting 3/11/08, please go to the www.mytalkingstain.com website and give me as many thumbs up as you can. This voting will continue through 3/24/08.

My commercial is on my page on www.youtube.com under the following link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHpff19C410

And my commercial is now also up under the my talking stain website via this link:

http://www.youtube.com/mytalkingstain?utm_source=gatorade_mytalkingstainsite

Again, thank you everyone for your support! And special thanks to Kevin, Aaron, Amy and Nolan for their help in the creation of this project.

Please forward this to as many people as possible, the more hits on the site, the better!

Subject: 9 crucial tips

Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one's life.
Because of recent abductions in daylight hours, refresh yourself of these things to do in an emergency situation...
This is for you, and for you to share with your wife, your children, everyone you know.
After reading these 9 crucial tips, forward them to someone you care about. It never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in.
1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do!
2. Learned this from a tourist guide in New Orleans. If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you.... chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car, kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won't see you, but everybody else will. This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON'T DO THIS!) The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR , LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

A.) If someone is in the car with a gun to your head DO NOT DRIVE OFF, repeat: DO NOT DRIVE OFF! Instead, gun the engine and speed into anything, wrecking the car. Your Air Bag will save you. If the person is in the back seat they will get the worst of it. As soon as the car crashes, bail out and run. It is better than having them find your body in a remote location.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:

A.) Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor, and in the back seat.

B.) If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot. This is especially true at NIGHT!)
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; and even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN, preferably in a zig -zag pattern!
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic:
STOP! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well-educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked "for help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

9. Another Safety Point: Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird. The police told her "Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door." The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over. The policeman said, "We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT open the door." He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear a baby's cry outside their doors when they're home alone at night.
Please pass this on and DO NOT open the door for a crying baby ---- This e-mail should probably be taken seriously because the Crying Baby theory was mentioned on America 's Most Wanted this past Saturday when they profiled the serial killer in Louisiana.
I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know. It may save a life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle. I was going to send this to the ladies only, but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc., you may want to pass it onto them, as well.
Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it's better to be safe than sorry.

Subject: Starting from the top

So, the last time that I updated I mentioned the many thing I wanted to get done soon. Step one is in place. We are cleaning the whole house. And not just cleaning...organizing! We're going through all our stuff to find out what we're keeping, what we're throwing away and what we're selling in the garage sale. Oh, and we're having a garage sale in the spring (possibly end March/early April). So far we're cleaning out a lot of stuff. We actually have empty drawers. Or drawers with just a few items. We had a lot of expired prescriptions and over the counter meds. Which are gone. Lots of random stuff. Hopefully we'll be able to sell a lot of stuff in the garage sale, if not, we'll donate it. Just want to get rid of it (extra money doesn't hurt, though!) So, that's what we did last night & so far most of today. We're going to go shopping at Hobby Lobby to pick up some more things for our wedding collage, which we may do next weekend, since we're ordering our prints from Kodak & will need to wait until their mailed. So, there's other things I forgot to mention that we're trying to do. I am going to see Eleanore next month sometime to give her the rest of our wedding footage (and to return her Eidolon tapes...after I copy them onto DVD for myself) and then she'll give me back the raw footage so we can show Kevin's grandma & grandpa. BTW, Eleanore, do you want a CD with the main songs that we used for the wedding march, first dances, garter/bouquet toss? I can do that...I might just do that. But you can let me know. Rambling is nice when I'm trying to relax before going back to cleaning, but I should get going. Bye all!

Subject: Long time no speak

So, I haven't updated since 1/31?! Too little time, I guess.

Let's start here and work our way back.

This week I've been doing some overtime at work. Helping out another team, and earning a few extra bucks, that's not back. Amanda came over last night to hang out. We talked, had pizza and watched CSI New York (...because I'm a marine...)...inside joke. Other than work, this week has been pretty uneventful.

Saturday we had gone to the car show with Kevin's parents, which I fell in love with a 495,000 dollar Mercedes SLR (convertible). Not in the price range. There was a nice looking Cougar convertible. 95 thousand. Still pricey. One day. After the car show we had gone to my parents' for dinner for Kevin's birthday (which was 2/6). Sunday we had gone to both my grandma's to visit. Got a 2 1/2 lb box of chocolates & dinner. Fun times.

Last week was Valentine's day, Kevin and I kept it simple, we made dinner: Crab legs, steak, fresh green beans and noodles with a quadruple chocolate brownie dessert. Watched the dog & the ferret chase after each other. It's definitely an amusing spectacle.

Kevin's birthday was 2/6, we didn't do anything on his actual birthday (we both worked from home) but the snow was so bad, didn't want to try driving. We went to the Cheesecake factory on Friday night w/Amy, Aaron and Nolan. It was a nice dinner.

Other than that, one weekend night earlier this month I had an Eidolon marathon, in which I watched from 6 pm to 4:15 a. I got too into the series. I haven't been able to edit much of the Eidolon bloopers lately w/birthday stuff, valentine's day and work. But I will get back into that.

I have things i need to do; apply for school, clean the house (mainly my office/guest room), get my camera fixed, we have to take the animals to the vet for checkups & to get Evie & Josie declawed. Lots of stuff that we have in the back of our minds and just haven't gotten around to.

I'll try and update more often so I can remember things that go on. For now, hope everyone else is doing well.

Subject: FOR THE ANIMALS

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple. Please tell ten
friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble
getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of
getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on the purple
box 'fund food for animals' for free. This doesn't cost you a thing.
Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to
donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

Subject: I HATE winter

And, yes, hate is a strong word, but after today, I will say it. Snow sucks, cold blows (sometimes literally) and traffic is aggravating. I left work at 5 this evening, spent 2 hours in the car (which aggravated my back pain), came home and snow blowed the driveway for probably a good hour. So, winter...I hate you.

My back has been hurting me lately. It could be because I've been lifting boxes that are in the basement. We're trying to "fix up" the basement into a workout/entertainment room. I'm going through my boxes, which included papers from Jr High & High School along with random nicknacks and notes from my brother threatening "We won't leave you along until we get what we want, and you know what we want". Fond memories.

I've been editing a lot lately (every night) trying to finish up the Eidolon bloopers. They're all there, I just needed to get my ass into gear and actually put it all together. It takes a long time to edit, and time goes by so quickly...now I see why Eleanore puts in 60+ hours a week because when you stare at the editor you get lost in your own little world. But I love it, and I love watching montages even more. Smile montage is only missing a handful of clips and it will be done. It's a great feeling of success. I think I'll watch Eidolon tomorrow night. Maybe tonight. We'll see.

So, c'est la vie. Snow. Cold. Manual labor. But snow blowing was a good workout. Talk to you guys soon!

Subject: Feeling better

Still got a lot of work to do, but it's moving. I think work is more stressful than anything. Jury duty hsn't called me back yet, gotta call tomorrow morning for tomorrow afternoon. But my grandma seems better, work will be there and I'm living with it, and my week of Jury duty is almost over.

Karma (the ferret) is so cute when she plays. I've been taking her into the bathroom (where I can close the door and not worry about the dog or cats attacking her). I bring Mercedes' green squeeky spiky ball and she loves it. She squeezes it, takes it under the cabinet & hides it. She comes out, I steal it back and we do it all over again. She's a lot of fun. Just wish she would really stop biting. Ah well.

Other pets are doing well. I'll talk to you guys later.

Subject: It's going to be a long week...

I had Jury Duty yesterday and this morning. It's an experience, but it is a long feeling day. I was hoping to get on a case, but right now it's not in my best interest not to as work is getting backed up. Luckily we have people helping and they are helping tremendously!

So, I spoke with a nurse at work this afternoon regarding my grandmother, and the Transient Ischemic Attack (basically a mini stroke) and she said that a lot of people do experience those, and they are recoverable. And despite the fact that it's 100% blocked there is a way that meds can try and get the blockage to minimize and allow some blood to get through. I'm going over there tonight to do some cleaning & possibly cook (if their sandwiches from lunch are gone). So, for awhile, I may not be online and I may not be able to call people. I'm just feeling very frustrated right now. Lots of things that are beyond my control that make me feel helpless.

But don't worry, I'm okay. I've talked to people who have made me feel much better. Especially Chris and Barrett at work. Thanks guys!

Subject: C'est la vie

This weekend I didn't have the free time like I had hopes. Mandy needed help packing up her boyfriends place, Amy wanted company while Aaron was at a game, and Kevin wanted to go see his parents. I had planned on having numerous hourly long conversations with Yibbs, James and Morgan. Sorry guys. I had also spent 2 hours on Thursday looking for a daily planner in which I could not find. Wasted time, and I fear I need to make my own (I have such demands with one I'd rather create it). I'm on jury duty this week. My grandma has 100% blockage of her left carotid artery and cannot walk as her right arm and leg do not support her due to the blockage. Lots of stuff going on and I feel so helpless. Needless to say once all these things are over and I feel like myself again, I will definitely give you guys a call. Until then, thanks for your understanding. I'm just a little down with all this.

Subject: fell off of earth again

Okay, peeps, I'm back on the internet! Lots have gone on since I last updated...which was...sometime in the past. To start, which I think I already mentioned, we started a project at work on Dec 19 (I think that's the date). It took us until Dec. 28 to finish (but we made it!). Unfortunately it has left me a little backed up with normal work. Luckily we got some overtime for the last 3 weeks (it's done now, giving me a rest). Other than the project, work is still going well. I'm working from home still every other day. I'm getting by at this time. Nothing I would change with it at this time.

Katie and Tanya and I are in a weight loss competition, I feel I am losing as I haven't been really watching what I eat, but I'm going to start working out again. It was really hard with the holidays and with the work project. I don't care if I win or lose, just wanted to try and get into shape. My goal is to get down to 120-130 by the summer, get some headshots done and look for acting gigs. That's goal # 1, although it may not be my main focus at this time.

Kevin and I have been saving as much money as possible so I can take some classes in the fall. That's goal # 2. School. I made it through 3 years (2 1/2 passing) of college and just gave up. I don't want to be seen as a quitter and want to get my degree. It would be cool to have Morgan come up here for school, and James and Yibbs to come up here to work (WGN is in the city!). Get our group together and take over the Chicago market. That would be cool.

Christmas was nice, got a new car radio/cd player with an IPOD connection, an IPOD, clothes, bathrobe, office supplies/toiletries, decorative pieces. It's been awhile, so I can't totally remember, but it was nice. Spent Xmas Eve at Kevin's parents, then Xmas day with my parents. I can't wait until Kevin and I have our own place and can have them come over to our place. Oh, forgot that Kevin bought me a ferret for Xmas. Yes, her name is Karma (Kevin let me name her as it won't be the name of one of our children). I think that's it.

New Years was on the downlow. Kevin and I went over to Amy & Aarons for dinner, Aaron made bacon wrapped filet, lobster tail, mashed potatoes and green beans. Dessert was chocolate fondue (bananas, strawberries, marshmallows, pound cake). We all made it to midnight, and then Amy and Aaron crashed. They both had to work on New Years Eve. BTW, after these holidays, I discovered how great of a company MetLife is giving us those holidays off. Lots of people had to work.

So, one reason I haven't been updated was that my computer crapped out. Initially it had frozen up on Kevin (we usually leave the computer on day and night), Kevin shut it down and it wouldn't start back up. Then, days later, he got it to start, but the USB connection for the mouse/keyboard wouldn't work (still doesn't work) but Kevin brough up one of his mice & keyboards that doesn't use the USB, so here I am!

Also, Kevin and I bought Guitar Hero III on Sunday, played from 4 until midnight, then last night played from 5 until 11:30. Today I played one song and realized that my fingers are too numb and sore to actually play. But I have to say, the game is SOOOOO addicting. Way beyond my smoking addiction. But it's fun.

I need a vacation. I do want to plan a trip down to Carbondale at some point for a long weekend...maybe April. When is it warm down there? Then I'll have to see James and Morgan while I'm there. Maybe I can pick up Yibbs and we can make a fun awesome weekend out of it. We don't have to film...just hang out. Plan a future filming adventure.

So, in summary, I have been out of the loop from...well...everyone and everything. I owe some people phone calls: Yibbs, based on my comment to your GJ I was supposed to call you....what...2 weeks ago? And James, I have gotten every one of your messages, and I know that I've owed you a call for about a month. I will try my hardest to call you guys this weekend. I don't have plans at this time, so maybe I should pencil it in to my day planner. Maybe I should first buy a day planner. There's an idea. And Morgan and Amanda, please call me whenever you feel alone or just need to talk.

Thank you all for your patience with me not getting ahold of anyone. I want to be a good friend. I need to reprioritize things. Again, I need a day planner. Take care everyone, hope to see or talk to you guys soon.

Subject: Fallen off Earth

Or I should say I wish I did. Instead I just feel like I did. Work is crazy, holidays are crazy, life is crazy.

At work I've had to put in overtime due to a project that needs to get done (Katie and I have put in a few 12 hour days last week). And it's not quite over. Soon, hopefully. Soon.

I had gotten my christmas shopping done on Wednesday. Stuff was finished being wrapped this morning. Had a holiday dinner at my grandma's on Thursday, went to both of my grandma's today to exchange gifts. On Monday I got a new retainer to re-adjust my teeth (and is working well). Thursday Kevin bought me a ferret (her name in Karma). Trying to train the ferret not to bite, trying to train the dog not to attack, gotta train Josie not to stalk...and I don't even want to get the rabbit involved yet.

Going to Kevin's parents tomorrow afternoong to night, then to my parents' on Xmas day. Lots of gifts to exchange, lots of food (which I definitely don't need) and lots of fun.

I gave Kevin one of his gifts early (he got a PS2 Simpsons game).

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, and hopefully I'll be able to call James & Eleanore sometime soon. Have a wonderful next few days! (and thereafter).

Subject: Weekend

So, this weekend was pretty good. Shopping. Lots of shopping as Xmas is coming & I hadn't even started. I still have to go for a few more things for Kevin. I got a new retainer which is going to push my teeth back to where they belong (and this one is going to be kept under lock & key from the mangy mutt. So, shopping & retainer...that's about all that's new. Can't wait for the holidays to be over. Yibbs, I'm sorry I didn't call this weekend. I'll try calling this next weekend (prob sun as overtime is a necessity at work this week & sat). I'll keep y'all posted!

Just wanted to ask...I know you've been busy, and we've had people asking about the wedding video...if you don't have time, I really don't mind editing it myself. Kevin adn I have tried to figure out how to get the video off from the hard disc camcorder to get onto the DVD format you need, and it's still in the works...but I know how to put it on my computer...let me know, cause I just want to show even the raw footage to people (Kevin's grandparents especially).

BTW, I have a job I am working on the 22nd, so I won't be able to film, but good luck!
